Daughter and I tried this recipe the other night and it was easy and simple and a lot of fun. It also tasted wonderful!
1 pkg yeast
1/2 cup warm water
mix and let sit a minute then add
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp oil
Mix well then add
1 1/4 cup flour
knead ( in the bowl ) for a couple of minutes, if too sticky you can add up to 1/4 cup more of flour. ( no need to let rise ) Just roll it out ( or attempt to toss, we were not so great at that )
into the pan. You can make a larger thin crust or a couple of smaller thick crusts. You can curl the edges for a pizza crust or roll them flat. This is one of those recipes that you can tweak a lot to make it however you would like. We brushed the bottom of the crust with some flour before putting it on the pan ( to keep it from sticking ) next time I am going to do an herb/flour mixture to add a bit of flavor. *tried it and love the herbs in mixed into the flour when rolling out the dough*
Add the sauce and the toppings. We used what we had in the fridge, which was some spaghetti sauce and some cheese and pepperoni. Slide it in the oven until the top is all melted and bubbly and the crust just starts to brown. * about 15 to 20 minutes*
If someone has a good recipe for homemade pizza sauce I would love to have you leave it in the comments and I can post it and add a link here. Would also enjoy if you could leave a comment and share your favorite pizza toppings. I am hoping to do this again soon and have an assortment of toppings out so every one can top their own. Great movie night dinner, a lot cheaper than store bought and a LOT more fun.,
